coDecode explores the realm of design, technology and society. coDecode got its start in 1999 as a prototype for a web journal at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (thanks RED for your encouragement and support!).
The original publication was “about process: the process of creating interactive media (code) and the process of understanding and being conscious of how these media are being applied in a wide spectrum of fields (decode).”
While many things have changed in the online landscape since coDecode’s original iteration, I continue to explore and think about the process of “coding” and “decoding” design and technology in order to better understand how they influence and are influenced by society.
